Minis

Coaches

Volunteer coaches (usually made up of parents) deliver the Mini Programs. All coaches are required to complete a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector screen.

Summer Divisions

U5

The Timbits U5 division is a co-ed practice-based program for very young players. The aim of this program is for the kids to have fun, get moving and develop an early love for the game. Children practice once per week at this level for 45 minutes per session.

U7

The Timbits U7 division is co-ed and is the first opportunity for the children to play against teams from other areas in the region (Windsor, Falmouth, Brooklyn and Mount Uniacke). Games are structured but informal. Coaches direct the games at this level without referees. Children get on the field twice per week for an hour each session at this level, with a game held every other week during one of the practice slots.

U9

The Timbits U9 division has both Girls and Boys teams. At this level there is one game and one practice every week at an hour each. Games at this level have referees and teams compete against teams from other areas in the region (Windsor, Falmouth, Brooklyn & Mount Uniacke).

U11

The Club U11 division has both Girls and Boys teams. At this level there is one game and one practice every week at an hour each. Games at this level have referees and are coordinated with Valley District Soccer Association. Teams compete against teams from other areas in the region (Windsor, Falmouth, Brooklyn & Mount Uniacke) as well as from other areas within the Valley!

Areas

There are four distinct areas within West Hants who each have their own teams:

  • Windsor
  • Falmouth
  • Brooklyn
  • Mount Uniacke
Teams may be amalgamated if numbers are low in that particular season.

Winter Divisions

U5, U7 & U9

The winter mini divisions are co-ed at the U5 and U7, and broken into Girls and Boys teams for the U9 group. The program is practice-based with a goal of ensuring the kids have fun, get moving and develop an early love for the game. Children practice once per week at this level for one hour per session.

Divisions may be amalgamated if numbers are low in that particular season to ensure players have an opportunity to play.
